Jennifer’s Background

Jennifer, the owner of Faithful Friends Pet Care, LLC, has been caring for animals for as long as she can remember. Growing up, she always had a few furry friends in the house which is where her love of animals began. As soon as she was old enough, she started caring for the pets of family and friends. While in high school, in addition to pet sitting, she worked at a pet store as an animal caretaker. From there, she went on to Delaware Valley University where she majored in Small Animal Science and Business Administration.

After graduation, she worked as the manager of a doggie daycare and overnight boarding facility for cats and dogs for over 4 years, and then for a very busy emergency veterinary hospital for almost 2 years. In 2014, she opened Faithful Friends Pet Care, LLC and began pet sitting/dog walking full time! Over the years she has cared for many different types of animals with many different needs. You can count on the fact that the services Faithful Friends Pet Care, LLC provides your pets will be tailored to their specific needs and to your specific requests. You can be confident that the care they will be receiving will be nothing but the best!

Pet Sitter or Boarding Kennel??

Trying to decide between hiring a pet sitter and taking your pet to a boarding kennel? Here are some benefits of hiring a pet sitter to come to your home to care for your pets.

Your pet is able to stay in a familiar environment – this eliminates the stress caused by moving them to a loud, cold, crowded boarding facility where they are unsure of their surroundings

Their exposure to illness and parasites is minimalized as well as the chance for injury from other pets

Your pet has access to all of their own food, toys, bed and other accommodations that make them feel comfortable and stress free

A pet sitter is able to continue the routine that you already follow keeping them calm and content

Your home, in addition to your pets, is monitored and cared for decreasing the risk of break-ins

Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of animals do you care for?

We are able to care for most small animal pets including dogs, cats, birds, fish, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, chinchillas, hamsters, mice, rats, turtles, lizards, reptiles and amphibians. Don’t see your pet on the list? Just ask!.

Will it always be the same pet sitter coming to my house?

Yes – the pet sitter that you meet with for the complimentary Meet & Greet session will be the same pet sitter that comes to your home to provide the services for all visits. In the rare occasion of an emergency, we may need to substitute your pet sitter with another one to ensure that your pets’ care is not affected.

What services do you provide?

We provide all the care needed to keep you and your pets healthy and happy. This includes walks, play times, cuddle/petting sessions, feedings, providing fresh water, waste clean-up and disposal, administering of non-injectable medications, light grooming like brushing, companionship, and any other reasonable request. We always include basic household upkeep items like mail/newspaper retrieval, taking out of trash and recycling, watering of plants, and rotation of curtains/lights. Have another task you would like completed? Just ask!.

How will I know how my pet is doing?

You will receive a pet care journal through our portal after each visit is complete. Each journal will detail your pets’ activities, feedings, potty habits, and any additional notes the sitter wants you to know. It may even include photos!

How much notice do I need to give if I want to cancel service?

The easiest answer to this question is as soon as you know that care will not be needed. The more notice you can give us, the better. During our busiest times, a cancellation fee may be assessed if business that was lost can not be replaced. We understand that circumstances can arise that would change your need for care and we will be as accommodating as we can be. But we also want to save our availability for clients that are serious about care.

What types of payments do you accept?

We accept cash, checks, PayPal and Venmo payments

When is payment due for services?

Payment is due at the beginning of the first visit. For example, your reservation is for 2 visits/day for 7 days. We ask that if you are paying with cash or check, you leave full payment for the pet sitter to collect upon arrival for the first visit. If paying through PayPal or Venmo, please complete payment in full prior to the first visit. If you will be scheduling ongoing care with us like daily walks, then we can work out a payment plan that best fits your schedule/budget.

Can you describe a typical visit?

A typical visit starts with your pet sitters’ arrival to your property. They will assess the outside of the home to make sure that there is no evidence of damage or intrusion. After gathering mail/newspapers, they will enter your home being careful not to let any of your pets escape. The pet sitter will conduct a head count making sure that all pets are accounted for and look healthy. Doggie customers will then be taken outside to relieve themselves. Feedings and fresh water will be prepared and given to each pet according to your instructions. If medications are needed, these will be administered at this time as well. While the pets are eating, the pet sitter will perform other requested tasks such as water plants, rotate curtains/lights, clean litter boxes, etc. The rest of the time left in the visit will be spent playing with and loving your pet! When the visit is ready to conclude, the pet sitter will conduct another head count, make sure all food preparation & play areas are cleaned up, and will exit your home making sure that everything is locked up properly.
